This table is also called a cross-tabulation or crosstab and it is a type of table used in statistics to show the frequency distribution of variables (only counts and not percentages) and to study the relationship or association between two categorical variables. This table is the foundation for running a Chi-Square Test of Independence. It helps you compare observed vs. expected frequencies under the assumption of no association.
